Two people have been arrested for vehicle theft in Petaluma. Early yesterday morning on Old Redwood Highway, a police officer checked the license plate of a vehicle that passed him and discovered it had been reported stolen from the Sacramento area. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, 20-year-old Bailey Bowen and passenger, 26-year-old Francisco Yanez, were detained without incident. Bowen was ultimately arrested for the theft and possession of the stolen vehicle, possession of narcotics, and an outstanding warrant. Because her warrant was issued from the Juvenile Probation Department and Court, Bailey was booked at Sonoma County Juvenile Hall. Yanez was arrested for possession of narcotics and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
