A longtime employee of a Santa Rosa nonprofit has died. Vince Harper, who worked for three decades with Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County, has died at the age of 55 after months of health issues. He began his service in 1991 when he volunteered at the South Park Youth Center. About a year later, he was hired by Community Action Partnership which ran the center. Harper would go onto create a youth leadership program, which exposed local teens to volunteer opportunities in their community. More recently, he became involved in Community Conversations on Race, a virtual video series run by the Partnership which started in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. The Community Action Partnership plans to hold a memorial for Harper though details are not known at this time.
