Governor Gavin Newsom has signed into law an executive order that cracks down on price gouging for at-home COVID-19 tests. The order the governor signed this weekend prohibits sellers from increasing prices on test kits by more than ten percent. Governor Newsom has also activated more than 200 members of the California National Guard to help with fifty Optum Serve testing sites across California. The Guard members will assist with crowd control and with any staff absences at the testing sites.
