Vandalized Fountain at Santa Rosa Memorial Park (Santa Rosa Police)
Santa Rosa police are turning to the community to help identify suspects who vandalized a fountain at the Holocaust Memorial in Santa Rosa Memorial Park. The incident was reported on Friday when an employee found the fountain had been knocked over and sustained major damage. They believed that it happened between 9:15AM and 2:40PM that day. The fountain at the Holocaust Memorial was previously knocked over in 2020. The case from 2020 is still open. It is undetermined if the same suspect vandalized the Memorial Fountain in both incidents. Both cases are being investigated as vandalism and detectives are also investigating whether they were hate crimes. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund leading to an arrest.
