Sonoma County is getting the go-ahead to proceed with its new voting model. The County Registrar of Voters announced this week that the California Secretary of State’s Office has approved Sonoma County’s Voter’s Choice Act election model. The county will now be required to mail ballots to every registered voter for every election they’re eligible to vote in. The county will also set up ballot drop-off boxes and vote centers to replace polling places.
