The groundbreaking of a new education center at Santa Rosa Junior College’s Petaluma campus will have to wait. The project was supposed to start last month, but it’s been pushed back at least eight months because of supply chain and funding issues. Four-million-dollars is needed to pay for steel and lumber, which have grown more expensive amid supply chain delays. If the project gets fully-funded this spring, it can break ground this fall, with completion expected in spring of 2024.
