All 40 school district superintendents in Sonoma County recently signed a letter to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, Governor Newsom, and more leaders. The superintendents argue the added pressure of having to constantly focus on coronavirus testing and contact tracing rules is overburdening staff members. And, they say, it’s hurting teachers’ ability to focus on recovering from the pandemic socially and academically. The superintendents want state and local leaders to come up with new plans to take the pressure off their staff and district budgets when it comes to the virus.
