Brad James Adams (Santa Rosa Police)
A suspect is at large after shooting a man at a Taco Bell drive-thru. Early yesterday morning, police responded to a shooting reported at the Taco Bell on the 1800-block of Mendocino Avenue. The 22-year-old victim told police he was in front of the shooter at the drive-thru and got into an argument while both were in their vehicles. The suspect, later identified as Brad James Adams of Santa Rosa, pulled out of the drive-thru and shot at the victim multiple times before fleeing in his white F-150 pickup. The victim was hit at least once and was hospitalized, but is expected to survive. The truck was found with a handgun inside at a Mendocino Avenue parking lot. A warrant was later served on Adams’ home on Humboldt Street by a tactical police unit, but Adams wasn’t located. This is not the first time Adams has had police at his door. In 2018, he barricaded himself into his home during a probation search. A reward of $2500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
