A bill that would allow California’s children to get vaccinated without their parents’ consent is closer to passing. The bill, which would apply to kids aged 12 and older, passed a key legislative committee Thursday. To be eligible, the vaccine would need FDA approval and recommendation from the CDC. Right now, kids in California can’t consent to most vaccines on their own, including COVID-19 shots.
