Items confiscated from Martin Stra-Smith (Sonoma Sheriff)

A man accused of intentionally ramming a Sonoma County’s Sheriff’s detective’s car in Rohnert Park is now behind bars. He was arrested Wednesday, a week after detectives initially tried to arrest him on three outstanding warrants. Martin Stra-Smith escaped after driving away at a high rate of speed and hitting the detective’s car. Investigators believe Stra-Smith has alluded police during several pursuits in the Bay Area since last Wednesday. He was arrested on suspicion of assault on a peace officer. Police have found guns, ammo, and narcotics during recent searches of both Stra-Smith’s car and home. He’s being held on a quarter-million-dollars bail.
