COVID-19 cases in the Bay Area are dropping significantly. About 20-and-a-half-thousand new cases were reported in the region this week which is down from the over-30-thousand cases last week. The 33-percent drop is also consistent with a statewide decline in Coronavirus infections. California officials say new cases across the state fell about 20-percent this week. The state recently approved vaccinating children aged six-months and older, and around four-hundred-thousand new doses arrived in the Bay Area earlier this week.
