Hundreds of protestors supporting reproductive rights showed up in Petaluma on Sunday. About 500 people gathered at Penry Park and marched to city hall for a planned rally in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. They carried signs such as “Abortion is Healthcare,” “My Body, My Choice,” and “Mind Your Own Uterus.” Speakers included march organizers Eirinie Carson and Sarah Seitchik, as well as Petaluma’s Mayor Teresa Barrett. As part of her speech, Mayor Barrett said “Everyone needs this right — just how everyone needs the right to breathing clean air and access to clean water. It’s a basic right.”
