The personal information of thousands of California’s gun owners might be in the hands of hackers after a data breach. California Attorney General Rob Bonta recently launched a website designed to improve transparency. But, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says hackers found a way into it, and mined the personal information belonging to residents with concealed carry weapon permits. Information that was exposed between Monday night and Tuesday morning includes names, addresses, birth dates, and occupations. The website remains disabled. The state Attorney General’s Office says it’s investigating.
