Nome Fire 7-5-22 (Cal Fire)
A 20-acre fire has been stopped in northeast Mendocino County. The Nome fire was reported Tuesday evening in the area of Highway 162 and Short Creek Road in Covelo. The good news was that no evacuations were triggered, the fire was entirely contained by Wednesday morning, and no structures were damaged and no one was hurt. A cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
