New data suggests many residents in the state are getting reinfected with Covid-19.  State health officials say one-in-seven cases reported last month were the result of a reinfection.  Experts say the trend is linked to the BA5 subvariant which is proving to be more infectious than any previous strain of Covid.  San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo tested positive for Covid last week for the second time.  Health officials believe those who were already infected are more likely to avoid wearing masks and getting booster shots.
