Joe Rodota Trail (Sonoma County Regional Parks)
Part of Santa Rosa’s Joe Rodota Trail is back open to the public for the first time in close to a month after the city removed two homeless encampments. The section of trail along Highway 12, between Dutton Avenue and Wright Road, had been closed from July 8th to Thursday. Homeless people living in the area were either relocated, or left on their own. The encampment sweep, prompted by safety concerns, came after a legal battle between the city and seven people who were camping on the trail.
