The deadly McKinney fire burning near the Yreka area is now 75-percent contained. The blaze has burned more than 60-thousand acres of land and firefighters made significant progress late last night. However, flash floods have triggered massive debris flows from the fire and that has caused a lot of fish to die along a 50-mile stretch of the Klamath River. Officials with the Karuk tribe told the LA Times charred soil, rocks and trees have been pushed into Humbug Creek. They estimate the fish kill has extended all the way to Indian Creek.
