California is pushing for new projects to increase water supplies, including desalination.  Governor Newsom says the state will lose ten-percent of its water supply in the next 20 years, and new sources need to be created like recycled water, stormwater capture, and desalination.  The governor says while conservation numbers are moving in the right direction over the last few months, the state can still impose mandatory rations if certain goals aren’t met.
