Legionnaires’ Bacteria Found in Two More Locations in Napa County

With Napa County in the midst of an outbreak, public health officials have traced the bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ Disease to two more locations. On Thursday, high levels of the bacteria Legionella were found in the decorative pond at the Embassy Suites Napa Valley Hotel. Bacteria was found in the cooling tower of the same hotel last week. It has also been found in the cooling tower at the county Hall of Justice in Napa. In the past month, 13 Napa County residents have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ Disease, and one person died.
