California is still dealing with drought, but the state may be better off compared to this time last year.  According to U.S. drought Monitor data, over 80-percent of California was in extreme drought in November 2021, that’s compared to 43-percent this November. Oakland, Napa and Walnut Creek have moved out of the extreme category, as well as San Francisco, Los Angeles and the Big Sur coastline. They’re now in the severe category. The latest data still has 38-percent of California in exceptional drought, including the Central Valley. The Climate Prediction Center says wet weather should continue throughout winter, but La Nina may reduce the amount that reaches California.
