Recology Sonoma Marin and Teamsters Union Local 665 have a new five-year deal in place. The sides reached an agreement on the contract over the weekend and union president Mike Yates said it passed by more than two to one. Yates told the North Bay Business Journal the deal “locks in very good wage increases,” but didn’t provide specifics. The union represents about 360 Recology employee-owners in collections, post collections, maintenance and customer service. Recology Sonoma Marin said it’s “pleased that after putting forward a proposal that we believe is fair to both our employee-owners and the ratepayers of Sonoma and Marin counties, (that) the contract was ratified.”
