There’s a bit of good news for Sonoma County regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s been over 40 days since the last reported Covid related death in the county. That is the longest span between Covid related deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020. Infectious disease expert Dr. Gary Green from Sutter Santa Rosa tells the Press Democrat that our vaccination rate is making a big difference. 85-percent of Sonoma County is at least partially vaccinated. And, active cases have been under a 1,000 cases since mid-September. At this point, 523 people in Sonoma County have died from Covid.
