The lowest paid county workers could be getting a raise. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are expected to vote on increasing the living wage rate earned by the lowest-paid county employees and employees of contractors working with the county. If approved, the hourly rate for these workers would be raised 2.74 percent or up to $17.25 an hour. Those working for the county directly would see this raise on January 1st of 2023 while contractors working for the county would have until March 31st. This would be the second living wage increase since 2016.
