Medical experts believe the so-called tripledemic of COVID-19, flu and RSV cases has plateaued in the North Bay. Doctor Omar Ferrari of Providence’s Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital tells the Press Democrat there’s reason to be optimistic and “things are starting to move in the right direction.” But, there are concerns this period could be short lived. Doctor Gary Green of Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital also spoke with the Press Democrat and voiced concerns about people going shopping and to holiday parties without wearing masks. Experts are worried holiday gatherings and cold weather driving more people indoors will lead to numbers for the three viruses skyrocketing again.
