Sonoma County needs volunteers to help conduct its annual point-in-time homeless count. The count will take place this Friday between five and ten a.m. It usually happens in the early morning or evening for accuracy purposes, with most homeless people stopped at the place they chose to sleep for the night at those times. The tally will be used to better direct resources to homeless people in specific areas, and to meet requirements for government funding.
