FEMA has estimated it will take “several hundred million” dollars to repair all the damage from three weeks of record-setting rainfall, much of it in Northern and Central California. Napa County officials are estimating damages of eight and-a-half-million-dollars with most of the money going towards road repairs. In Sonoma County, officials estimate over $16-million in damages from the storms. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service expects rain to return to Northern California by the end of January. The Weather Service says the rain could start falling as soon as Sunday and carry over into early February. Forecasters say it is still too soon to speculate on rainfall amounts or timing.
