A lawsuit has been filed against the former Police Chief of Ukiah for sexual assault. The alleged assault occurred around the time Noble Waidelich was placed on administrative leave last year. The complaint alleges that the assault occurred at the victim’s home in Ukiah and that Chief Waidelich was on duty, wearing a uniform, and carrying a gun. The assault is said to have occurred on June 13th. Waidelich was placed on leave June 14th when the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was investigating “an allegation of criminal conduct.” The city of Ukiah has also been named in the suit.
