The 15-year-old student accused in a deadly stabbing at Montgomery High School appeared in court but did not enter a plea. The boy had a hearing in Sonoma County Juvenile Court on Thursday. He’s accused of stabbing another student, a 16-year-old boy, to death after he was attacked in an art class on March 1st. Another student was stabbed but survived. The suspect is accused of voluntary manslaughter. His arraignment was rescheduled to May 4th.

Meanwhile, defense attorneys for the 15-year-old student accused in a deadly stabbing have filed a motion to lift an alleged gag order. But, a judge denied their motion on Thursday. They believe a gag order was given to people associated with Santa Rosa City Schools after the March 1st stabbing that left a 16-year-old boy dead. During a court hearing on Thursday, one of the suspect’s attorneys said neither students nor staff at Montgomery have provided any key information that would help the defense’s case. But, an attorney for the school district says there is no gag order. Attorney David Mishook says staff members have only been told to be careful when discussing any aspect of the case.
