A Paradise hospital settlement related to the Camp Fire is coming from the Fire Victim Trust. The Press Democrat reports that Adventist Health will get $200-million for the loss of the Feather River Hospital. But that settlement will come from the $13.5 billion fire victim trust settled with PG&E. The hospital was lost during the 2018 Camp Fire which destroyed more than 18,000 structures and killed at least 85 people. This comes as Adventist Health has previously said they will not reopen the Feather River Hospital but instead invest $2 million to expand a health clinic. A company audit in 2022 showed that Adventist was operating at a loss despite receiving 45-percent of the settlement.
