Former Hell’s Angels Chapter Presidents, Including Sonoma County, Convicted in Federal Court

A former president of the Sonoma County Hell’s Angels chapter has been convicted. Raymond Foakes and Christopher Ranieri were convicted last week in federal court of several charges including conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, arson, robbery, drug dealing, witness intimidation, and obstruction of justice. Both men were chapter presidents of the Hell’s Angels: Foakes in Sonoma County and Ranieri for Salem, Massachusetts. Foakes had beaten a former member for several hours and sexually assaulted his wife after the victim had an affair with Foakes’ wife. Ranieri, meanwhile, was involved in the death another member, Joel Silva, who reportedly was creating problems for the Sonoma County Chapter. He was shot and killed in Fresno in July of 2014.
