You can expect extra patrols over the next few days in California. The California Highway Patrol plans to intensify its enforcement across the state this Memorial Day weekend. CHP says it’s scheduled full staffing and officers are on the lookout for drunk, drowsy and distracted drivers. During last year’s Memorial Day weekend, CHP made nearly 900 DUI arrests statewide.
