Napa County Supervisors will consider a contentious vineyard proposal at next week’s board meeting. Objections have been for the Le Colline Vineyard in the mountains near Angwin by the Center for Biological Diversity. They argue that the vineyard should not be planted there as it would lead to forest removal and that the owners can’t promise net-zero emissions as stipulated. The center also contends that the vineyard would harm nearby habitat, including the 175-acre Linda Falls Preserve. Owners of the Le Colline property are arguing net-zero emissions at the site can be done through reforestation efforts, use of electric tractors, and other efforts.
