Revolver confiscated from Marayamah Smith (Santa Rosa)
A convicted felon with a gun has been arrested in Santa Rosa after a brief foot chase. On Friday night, an officer noticed several people trespassing in downtown Santa Rosa. While talking to them, one person later identified as Marayamah Smith ran away and was tackled by the officer. As Smith fell down, a loaded .357 magnum revolver fell out of the bottom of his pant leg. After handcuffing Smith and securing the gun, a records check showed that Smith was a convicted felon and prohibited from having a firearm. Smith also had 4 outstanding warrants for his arrest and was in possession of suspected drugs.
