Two people have been arrested in Petaluma for robbery and driving under the influence while a two-year-old child was in the car. On Saturday evening, a car stopped at a light at Copeland and E Washington was robbed by another driver who got out of the vehicle next to him. Armed with a gun, the man, later identified as Andriw Lopez Echeverria, stole the victim’s wallet and fled in his vehicle with another adult passenger, Jose Rodriguez. The victim called police and they took Echeverria and Rodriguez into custody. Police discovered that Echeverria had his two-year-old son in the backseat. The two were charged with several crimes including robbery. Echeverria was additionally charged with DUI, felony child endangerment, and assault with a deadly weapon.
