A pedestrian hit and killed by a pickup truck while crossing a street in Santa Rosa has been identified. The 56-year-old man, Alejandro Hernandez, was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after he was hit on Wednesday afternoon. The Sonoma County Coroner says he died from blunt force trauma. The driver cooperated with police and passed sobriety tests. Investigators believe Hernandez ran across the road and in front of the pickup truck.
