Sonoma County Gets Grant Money to Fight Organized Retail Theft

Videos of organized retail theft have flooded social media recently. Multiple law enforcement agencies across California, including the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, received grant funding from the State of California’s Organized Retail Theft Grant Program. Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez says that the just over $2 million dollars Sonoma County received will go toward two full-time prosecutors to combat organized retail theft. The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office is one of the 12 prosecutor’s offices and 38 law enforcement agencies to get this funding.
