Two Citizens Help Stop Petaluma Store Thieves

Two citizens are being credited with helping detain two thieves at the Petaluma Outlets. Last Thursday afternoon, two suspects, later identified as Casey Canion and Keiarra Spencer, stole over $18,000 worth of merchandise from Sunglasses Hut and attempted to flee. After getting by a security guard, two men, a father and an adult son, saw the two fleeing towards them and intervened. They managed to physically stop them though Canion pepper sprayed one of the men in the eyes before being taken down to the ground. Police responded and arrested Canion and Spencer without further incident. The man who was pepper sprayed was treated by medics at the scene.
