Healdsburg will host a community workshop next week to collect feedback on its potential SMART station location. The passenger rail service has identified more funding to complete its route extension from Windsor to Healdsburg. The workshop will take place at 6 p.m. October 19th at the Healdsburg Senior Center. In late September, SMART announced it had received a nearly $32-million federal grant it would use to help pay for the 5-mile Windsor to Healdsburg leg. That is about 65-percent of its funding total. The commuter rail line currently runs from Larkspur to north of Santa Rosa.
