Esquire Magazine put out their list of the 50 best New Restaurants in America for 2023 and Auro in Calistoga came in at 4th overall. The article speaks highly of their dishes, especially one featuring Wagyu beef and golden osetra caviar served atop a light-as-air oyster cracker, saying, quote, “ultimately, it’s the way the flavors sing that makes you confident you’ve found the perfect place to end the day.” Chef Rogelio Garcia and his team earned a Michelin Star earlier this year. Three other Bay Area restaurants made the list: Kiln and Dalida of San Francisco, and Burdell of Oakland.
