An animal welfare activist who was arrested last month is now wearing a GPS ankle monitor. A judge ordered GPS monitoring for Zoe Rosenberg on Thursday, after a Sonoma County prosecutor called her a “biosecurity risk” and said she presents a public safety issue. It follows the announcement of bird flu infections at four local poultry farms. Rosenberg has trespassed onto the property of one of them at least twice, saying she was there to rescue injured animals. Her movements will be monitored while she’s out of jail. Rosenberg must also stay at least 100 yards away from local animal agriculture operations.
