Santa Rosa Police Prevented from Arresting Students at Elsie Allen High School

The Santa Rosa City Schools district confirms it did not allow police to arrest four students on the campus of Elsie Allen High School. The Santa Rosa Police Department says, on January 16th, Superintendent Anna Trunnell told principal Gabriel Albavera to deny detectives access to the students and to any information they requested. Instead, the students were arrested the next morning, as they left their homes to go to school. The four students are accused of robbing and stabbing a man in an attack near Bellevue Ranch Park on January 11th. Trunnell says it was not a decision not to work with police.
