Santa Rosa Police Arrest Fentanyl Trafficking Suspect

Items confiscated from Christopher Mejia (Santa Rosa Police)

A 25-year-old man has been arrested for trafficking fentanyl pills in Santa Rosa. Last month, police began an investigation into the trafficking of a large amount of fentanyl, identifying Christopher Mejia as a potential suspect. Yesterday, police detained Mejia at his trailer on the 700 block of Santa Rosa Avenue. In his trailer, detectives found about one thousand suspected fentanyl pills, a digital scale, and clean packaging materials. They also searched a residence associated with Mejia on Ripley Street. There they found about $12,000 in cash. Mejia was charged with possession of a narcotic for sale with bail set at a quarter-million-dollars.
