The Chevy Camaro is becoming a popular car for thieves in Rohnert Park. The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is reporting a spike in Camaro thefts in recent weeks and is urging owners of the popular muscle car to be cautious. Investigators say thieves are using a key cloning or programming device that simulates the car’s key fob. It allows them to get inside with the simple click of a button. Police are recommending Camaro owners install a secondary lock, known as a kill switch, or GPS trackers for extra security.
