Mendocino County Deputy Uses Narcan to Save 70-Year-Old Ukiah Man’s Life

A 70-year-old Ukiah man is still alive thanks to a deputy’s use of narcan. Late Wednesday morning, Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputies overheard a radio call for an unresponsive man inside an apartment in the 300 block of Brush Street in Ukiah. A deputy arrived on scene and was told by bystanders that the man, who wasn’t breathing, had taken drugs. The deputy administered narcan and started CPR. The man became alert after receiving the narcan and was later taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
