Work Begins This Week on Healdsburg’s Recycled Water Project

Construction of the first phase of Healdsburg’s multi-million-dollar recycled water project starts on Thursday. The work on the south side of the city is expected to last through next Wednesday. It is the first of four phases of construction scheduled for this year. A crew is building a four-point-seven-mile underground line that will transport reclaimed water across Healdsburg. The water will be used to irrigate parks, the Healdsburg Golf Club, Oak Mound Cemetery, and Healdsburg Elementary School. A public fill station for recycled water will also be built somewhere along Healdsburg Avenue. The exact location hasn’t been decided.
