Several North Bay Cheesemakers have gotten top prizes at the American Cheese Society competition in Buffalo, New York. Bellwether Farms, Point Reyes Cheese Co., and Laura Chenel all took home first place prizes in different categories. Laura Chenel went above and beyond with three first place winners for Original Fresh Goat Cheese, Mango Habanero Fresh Goat Cheese and Black Truffle Marinated Goat Cheese. Next Year’s American Cheese Society Conference will be held in Sacramento.
