Costs are dragging California down when it comes to the best place to live in the country. WalletHub ranked the Best States to Live In for 2024 and placed California 29th overall. We had the 2nd best quality of living ranking on the list but ranked 49th in affordability and 17th for economic rankings.
Massachusetts was ranked the best state to live in for 2024 while Louisiana was ranked worst.
