Boyles Fire 40-Percent Contained As Over 2,300 Residents Remain Under Evacuation Orders

The Boyles Fire in Lake County has burned 81 acres of land and is 40-percent contained. The fire started Sunday afternoon in Clearlake, Lake County’s largest city. It has destroyed at least 30 structures and dozens of vehicles. Officials say the fire was mostly inactive on Monday night. But, the city will remain under a fire watch through Wednesday, with very low humidity and wind gusts of up to 22-miles-per-hour in the forecast. More than 23-hundred residents are still facing mandatory evacuation orders.
