Southern California residents are preparing for what forecasters are calling a potentially life-threatening windstorm.
The National Weather Service says the windstorm with gusts from 80 to potentially 100 miles per hour will hit portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
The worst of the strong winds is expected to start around noon today and last potentially for 24 hours. Crews are preparing for potential power outages and downed trees all over the region.
