Hundreds of volunteers gathered at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Santa Rosa on Monday to participate in a day of service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Families, youth groups, and community members joined together to weed, rake, mulch, and clean up the park. The day of service, organized by the Community Equity Foundation, emphasized not only the importance of community service but also the value of building relationships and fostering a sense of togetherness.
The event held a special significance this year, coinciding with the inauguration of a new president, serving as a reminder of the ongoing fight for civil rights and the importance of continuing Dr. King’s legacy of social justice and community engagement.
